The locations for the upcoming Soccer World Cup Watch Parties in Princeton have been announced. The parties are being organized by ‘Experience Princeton‘, the downtown business association. Last month, we reported how Experience Princeton had received a state grant to support the events (Report: “Princeton Downtown Business Association Wins State Grant for Soccer World Cup Watch Parties“).
At the Princeton Council meeting last night, Council member Michelle Pirone Lambros announced the venues for the World Cup Watch Parties. They will be as follows:
- June 20 – Princeton Monument Park (map)
- June 28 – Princeton Shopping Center (map)
- July 14 – Hulfish Street / Palmer Square (map)
Further details about the events will be released in the coming weeks.
There are three group stage games happening on June 20, and it’s not clear if one or all of them will be shown. On June 28, there is a Round of 32 game happening, and July 14 will be the first of the two semi-finals. The teams involved in those games will be decided through the earlier rounds. The events were described on a state website as “Welcome World! Princeton’s Global Food Festival & World Cup Watch Parties 2026”, which implies that there will be food as well as soccer.
