Earlier this month, the long-awaited vegan restaurant, ‘The Planted Plate’ opened its doors at 15 Spring St in downtown Princeton. The new restaurant offers a breakfast menu, and a selection of salads, sandwiches and ‘hot bowls’. All the food is entirely plant-based.

‘The Planted Plate’ is run by the same owners as ‘Kaya’s Kitchen’ in Belmar, NJ. They had been planning to open the restaurant for some time, but the opening was set back by the onset of the coronavirus lockdown in spring 2020. The restaurant is finally open now, albeit subject to occupancy restrictions like all indoor dining. Food is provided at the counter for eat-in or takeaway. The hours are advertised as “Seven days a week, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.”
