Cafe 44, which has become a local favorite in the Witherspoon-John neighborhood in Princeton, has closed its doors at the 44 Leigh Avenue location. The eatery will move across the road to share a space with ‘Tortugas Mexican Village‘ restaurant.

Among walkable brunch locations in Princeton, it’s hard to beat Cafe 44…

Breakfast and lunch will again be served under the Cafe 44 name from December 17, 2014. Although now it won’t be at 44 Leigh Avenue any more, but across the road at 41 Leigh. The only difference is that the place will no longer open on Monday and Tuesday mornings. As of now, there is no word about what the old space might be used for. For a while, 44 Leigh was also home to a Southern fusion restaurant serving food in the evenings, but despite good reviews, unfortunately it did not survive long.

Good luck to everybody at Cafe 44. Hope the move goes well and the place goes from strength to strength!
