Housing developer AvalonBay, having recently signed off on a contentious developer’s agreement with the town of Princeton, has launched a new website to inform local residents about the apartment construction project.

The website, which can be found at www.avalonprinceton.com provides cursory information about the project, with some renderings and contact information. Perhaps the most significant information is about the expected timeframe- the project is expected to take 9 to 12 months for demolition alone, followed by 2 – 2.5 years for construction of the residential community….that’s a pretty long time.

Updates about the demolition process are available on the Princeton Municipal website. Several websites belonging to the various local groups who have fought against the project  also remain active as of today. You can check them out at Princeton Citizens for Sustainable Neighborhoods and Association for Planning At Hospital Site.
