As part of an occasional series where we cast an eye over rental properties and real estate walkable to downtown Princeton, we invite you to comment on a local listing. You can find previous entries here and here.

This is a 1-bed, 1-ba apartment at 80 Nassau Street- directly across from Princeton University. The entrance is between “Zorba’s Brother” Greek restaurant and “Paper Source” craft and stationery store. The rate is $2,000 per month and the full listing including a floor-plan can be found here.

Once inside, you have a new kitchen, including in-unit washer-dryer:

Just one bedroom, which is actually described as a ‘sleeping area’, measuring 9′ 5″ x 10′. it appears to be separated from the living space by a sliding door (more photos at link above). This is what the room looks like:

The bathroom is also new, and is accessed through the bedroom:

Water, sewer and ‘heat’ are apparently included in the rent, but the tenant is responsible for gas for the stove, electric, cable and phone. Parking is not included…

The location is superb, walkable to everything, but maybe not everybody wants to live above a Greek restaurant on a busy road. What do you think? $2,000 for a one-bed, is that a good deal?

Let us know if you think $2,000 per month represents fair market value for this rental property! We welcome your comments in the space below!

  1. Wow says:

Pretty pricey for a place with a bizarre layout. Wouldn’t really work for 2 people, I think.
