
Local non-profit ‘Sustainable Princeton’ is aiming to encourage residents to give their car a rest during the month of September. They are organizing a “Walk ’n Roll Challenge”, and the participants who log the most miles on foot or by bike will win prizes!
To take part in the challenge, participants must fill out an online form, available on the Sustainable Princeton website. The Walk’n Roll challenge is free to participate in. Winners will be chosen by cumulative steps (walkers) or miles (cyclists) counted throughout September (September 1-28). Winners must live and/or work in Princeton, NJ. Prizes are as follows:
Walkers Prizes (All donated by Fleet Feet Princeton):
Grand Prize: Outfitting Experience with Complimentary Shoes and Insoles (up to $225 value)
2nd place: Walking Safety Kit
3rd place: 1 Pair of Goodr Sunglasses

Lisa Nicolaison, Project Manager from Sustainable Princeton said, “We want people who live and work in town to rethink their default of just jumping into a personal vehicle for short trips. No matter what kind of car you drive, electric or not, the most sustainable fuel is the fuel you don’t use.”
