The Guatemalan Consulate in Philadelphia has issued a public call for information to try to trace the family of Juan Francisco Guerra Galvez, who died after being struck by a motor vehicle in Princeton earlier this year.

The death of Mr. Guerra Galvez was first reported by Carolyn Jones at Tap Into Princeton. According to that report, the victim was originally from Guatemala but was living homeless in Princeton. He was struck on Paul Robeson Place by an unidentified vehicle on January 24, and died some time later. Princeton Police have not released many more details.

The Facebook post from the Guatemalan Consulate in Philadelphia indicates that Mr. Guerra Galvez may not have close family in the area. Anyone with information is urged to contact them at consphiladelphia@minex.gob.gt or by phone at (267) 780-9200.

Mr. Guerra Galvez is the second pedestrian to be killed on Princeton roads this year, after the death of Hin Chin, who was struck in a crosswalk on Wiggins Street in March.
