The new Triumph Brewing Company opened this afternoon in Palmer Square in Princeton. The new bar occupies the old USPS branch, and the conversion has taken almost seven years. A crowd of happy customers quickly filled the space. *more photos below*

‘Town Topics’ reported earlier this week that the new bar would finally be opening at some point this weekend. During the day, word spread that the opening would be at 4 p.m. this afternoon. The doors opened to the public to cheers and applause…

At present, only the downstairs area, known as “Der Keller” is open. Opening of the upstairs part may still be several months away, as Triumph works to recruit and train staff.

The adaptive reuse of the old Palmer Square USPS office has taken almost seven years, longer than construction of the Hoover Dam. It has clearly been a complicated project, with the goal of delivering something truly high-quality. Triumph previously operated for many years as “Triumph Brewpub” on Nassau Street. On July 13, 2017, ‘Walkable Princeton’ was the first to show the plan to reconfigure the old post office building as a new location for the brewpub (Report: “Proposed Triumph Brewpub At Old Princeton Post Office: Images And Site Plans!“)

The new bar offers a range of locally-brewed beers, as well as cocktails and wines…

Food is also available (apologies for terrible photograph of menu, hopefully it will be you can see it better on their website, see below! soon)

The new bar looks like it will be a “Triumph” for downtown Princeton. Centrally located, it is sure to be a major attraction for visitors, locals, and students alike!
